25 വർഷത്തിനുശേഷം വിശുദ്ധ കൊറോണയുടെ തിരുശേഷിപ്പ് പൊതുദർശന വേദിയിലേക്ക്

കൊറോണ എന്ന പേരിൽ ഒരുപക്ഷേ, നാം ആദ്യമായി ശ്രവിച്ചത് ചൈനയിൽനിന്ന് കൊറോണാ വൈറസ് പൊട്ടിപ്പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോഴായിരിക്കും. എന്നാൽ, ‘കൊറോണ’ എന്ന പേരിൽ, (കൊറോണ എന്ന ലാറ്റിൻ പദത്തിന്റെ അർത്ഥം കിരീടം എന്നാണ്) ക്രിസ്തുവിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ പേരില്‍ വെറും 16 വയസുള്ളപ്പോഴാണ് ഈ വിശുദ്ധ രക്തസാക്ഷിത്വം വരിക്കുന്നത്. ലോകമെങ്ങും മഹാമാരി പടരുന്ന പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ വിശുദ്ധ കൊറോണയുടെ തിരുശേഷിപ്പടങ്ങിയ പെട്ടകം ജര്‍മ്മനിയിലെ ആച്ചെനിലെ കത്തീഡ്രലില്‍ പുനഃസ്ഥാപിക്കുവാനുള്ള തയാറെടുപ്പ് സജീവമായതോടെയാണ് വിശുദ്ധയുടെ ചരിത്രം റോയിട്ടേഴ്സ് അടക്കമുള്ള പ്രമുഖ മാധ്യമങ്ങളില്‍ വീണ്ടും നിറയുന്നത്.കഴിഞ്ഞ 25 വർഷമായി തിരുശേഷിപ്പ് പൊതുദർശനം നടത്തിയിരുന്നില്ല. സ്വർണം, വെള്ളി എന്നിവയാൽ നിർമിച്ച പെട്ടകത്തിന് 93 സെന്റിമീറ്റർ ഉയരവും 98 കിലോഗ്രാം ഭാരവുമുണ്ട്. ഒമ്പതാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടില്‍ ചാര്‍ലിമേയിന്‍ ചക്രവര്‍ത്തിയാണ് ആച്ചെനിലെ കത്തോലിക്ക കത്തീഡ്രല്‍ ദേവാലയം പണികഴിപ്പിച്ചത്. കൊറോണ വൈറസ് ബാധ പൊട്ടിപ്പുറപ്പെടുന്നതിന് മുന്‍പേ തന്നെ ഈ വേനല്‍ക്കാലത്ത് സ്വര്‍ണ്ണപ്പണിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ഒരു എക്സിബിഷനില്‍ തിരുശേഷിപ്പടങ്ങിയ പെട്ടകം പൊതുപ്രദര്‍ശനത്ത...

പൂര്‍ണ്ണ ദണ്ഡവിമോചനത്തിനുള്ള ശുശ്രൂഷകൾക്ക് ഇനി മണിക്കൂറുകൾ മാത്രം തത്സമയം നമുക്കും അണിചേരാം, ദണ്ഡവിമോചനം നേടാം

ലോകമെമ്പാടും അപകടകരമാംവിധം പടർന്നുപിടിക്കുന്ന കൊറോണാ വൈറസ് ബാധയെ നേരിടാൻ ഫ്രാൻസിസ് പാപ്പ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച ‘ഉർബി ഏത് ഓർബി’ ശുശ്രൂഷകൾക്ക് ഇനി മണിക്കൂറുകൾ മാത്രം. ഇന്ന് മാർച്ച് 27 വത്തിക്കാൻ സമയം വൈകിട്ട് 5.55ന് (ഇന്ത്യൻ സമയം രാത്രി 10.30) അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന ശുശ്രൂഷകളുടെ വിശേഷാൽ ആശീർവാദം സ്വീകരിക്കാൻ നമുക്കും പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചൊരുങ്ങാം. സെന്റ് പീറ്റഴ്‌സ് ബസിലിക്കയിലെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയ്ക്കും ദിവ്യകാരുണ്യ ആരാധനയ്ക്കുംശേഷം ബസിലിക്കയുടെ മട്ടുപ്പാവിൽനിന്നാണ് ‘ഊർബി എത് ഓർബി’ സന്ദേശവും ആശീർവാദവും പാപ്പ നൽകുന്നത്. ‘നാടിനും നഗരത്തിനും വേണ്ടി’ എന്ന് അർത്ഥം വരുന്ന ‘ഉർബി ഏത് ഓർബി’ സന്ദേശവും ആശീർവാദവും ഈസ്റ്റർ, ക്രിസ്മസ തിരുനാളുകളിൽമാത്രമാണ് സാധാരണയായി പാപ്പമാർ നൽകാറുള്ളത്. അടച്ചിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ വത്തിക്കാൻ ചത്വരം ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുമെങ്കിലും വിശേഷാൽ ‘ഊർബി എത് ഓർബി’ക്കു മുന്നോടിയായി, സെന്റ് മർസലോ ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ അത്ഭുത കുരിശുരൂപം വത്തിക്കാൻ ചത്വരത്തിൽ താൽക്കാലികമായി പ്രതിഷ്~ിക്കുമെന്ന് റിപ്പോർട്ടുകളുണ്ട്. 1522ൽ പടർന്നുപിടിച്ച പ്ലേഗ് രോഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് റോമൻ ജനതയെ രക്ഷിച്ചതിലൂടെ ചരിത്രത്തിൽ ഇടംപിടിച്ച കുരിശുരൂപമാണിത്. ആഗോള...
